Faith and Reason

“Faith and Reason are like two wings of the human spirit by which is soars to the truth.”
― Pope John Paul II, Fides et Ratio: On the Relationship Between Faith and Reason

“God, our Creator and Lord, can be known with certainty, by the natural light of reason from created things.”

- 1st Dogma of the Catholic Church

We can know that God exists through reason alone. Our culture often calls believing that God exists a “leap of faith.” This isn’t true at all. Belief in God as he has revealed himself to Man through the prophets the apostles and most importantly though the Jesus that is what requires the grace of faith. But we can know that God exists and certain things about Him through reason alone.
